Hopefully the learned souls of this parish may be able to assist with this, I've ended up with a few panels laying around of unknown origins which I'm struggling to identify. It appears that the pattern market seem to have a numbering structure based loosely on an eight digit numerical code. First 2 digits - Manufacturer/Make Second 2 digits - Model Third 2 digits - type(wing/door etc) Fouth 2 digits - side Does anyone here know the index for these codes - such as 76-02-30-12 - know it's a door skin but struggling otherwise! Google fu is weak on this one - did find a website which really good links for old panels under this number scheme but can't find now  Many thanks in advance. |

thats a veng type of code (76 is hillman).
76 05 30 1/2 is a pre 76 fibreglass frt wing.
perhaps thats imp,hunter??

Managed to bring a few of the panels out to the front - still no idea what they are off - so suggestions please if anyone recognises them(more to follow in this particular quiz of the week!) Initially I thought this might be Rover SDi but curve isn't right, then possibly 924 but the swage line doesn't look right. It's long, so probably a 2 door but as to what I'm stumped  Next up, rear door, again quite long - and this I can't even think of what it might be...  All assistance gratefully received, and many thanks in advance. |

Cheers - sadly don't think it's a Fiesta, the swage line is lower than those, did then think it was possibly a MK3 Fiesta but sadly not. Anymore thoughts?

Might be worth asking the motor factors as they have lots of old panel catalogues lying around I used to work in one, could ask if you want I know they used to deal with haydrian and ssvg panels

Got the last of them to the front to complete the rogues gallery of unknown panels.....   Can't help but think it's something like a Nissan Cherry - but sure they had a swage line..  Keep thinking late 80s Ford but lines aren't strong enough.  Again drawn to think Ford, but again doesn't quite match up line wise? |

No3 is for an N10 Datsun Cherry and I think No4 is for an 810 Bluebird (180B).
