is there a standard stud pattern ?
i'm finding a lot of trailers on mini stuff, the catering trailer we're chopping about looks to be about 140 x 4 on a narrow 12" rim, which seems strange, i was hoping that it'd be 130 x 4 so i could use bug steelies but that aint gonna happen now.
anyone now owt ?

odd! my old caravan uses 100e pattern, but 13" wheels. is it an industrial/agricultural pattern, I wonder? whip down to your local ernie doe's or equivalent to find out. those steels are usually dirt cheap new IIRC.

The caravan chassis I attempted to turn into a trailer and then destroyed with an angle grinder had 4x5.5" wheels. In fact, I still have the wheels, they're 13". I suspect its probably the same as it seems a popular PCD in the trailer world. You can have them if I ever need to collect any more bits of Polo

Hi Guz....Not sure about this ,but I think the more modern caravans use a different wheel size . Could be the ones youve got . Pressed steel trailer wheels are available in 8" upwards , with mini stud pattern . Ive just today got some susp units that take the mini stud pattern ,but I'm using 13" A35 wheels . The 14" minor wheel has same studs as well as the old Riley 1.5.

My 80s caravan has vauxhall 4 stud pattern wheels on, infact they're from an early mk2 cavalier. My car transport trailer has a very wide stud pattern that neems to be very popular with many caravans and other trailers such as plant trailers e.t.c The stud pattern is the same as the Pug 504.

I have found Nottingham Trailer Spares down the back of Eastcroft (I guess you know where that is...) extremely helpful for queries like that, and very cheap if you need bits and bobs.

As I mentioned earlier ,I'm using A35 wheels on the trailer I'm building ....Trouble was,I could only find 2 rims .Hunted high and low looking for a third rim for the spare ,through all the junk I have in sheds ,even behind the shed ...nothing !In the garage ,even at work...nothing ! Spent countless hours staring at the wall thinking where I may have stashed one ......Then it dawned on me !!!!!! Yahoooooo !.......of course ...Id been walking past it every time I went out the back door ......
I'd screwed it to the wall to wrap the garden hose around !!!
