Hi, so I've gone to use my gasless mig , plugged in, new wire, gloves, mask, items to weld and click........click.... bad times. The welder is clicking when I pull the trigger but its not feeding the wire or arcing , it's just a cheap eBay job but its worked well and is in nearly new condition , I just have no idea what could be wrong with it, any help would be lovely, even just a suggestion as to what it might be or if you've had a similar issue and fixed it Thank you in advance x x x

Is the wire feed mechanism turning?

I've got Rovers.

It's not no, no turning and no arc , just clicking from inside the unit sounds like a solenoid clicking.

You said you've put new wire in I take it that the wire fed through ok when you fitted it?

No, it had new wire from the last time I used it, , haven't dropped it or knocked it about , just had it in the shed, got it out plugged it in and nothing

Have you tried turning wire speed right up? Have you checked wire in case its jammed where it goes through rollers into the liner ?

Tried everything I can think of ! Wire is free and can be pulled through with some pliers quite easily :-( rollers are all clear etc , didn't know if there is something inside that may have shorted out , a switch or solenoid of some sort , thank you for your input so far

If it's got a weld power switch or switches make sure they are fully pressed and not half on. Easy to knock one in the shed and most welders won't do anything when like that.

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in
