Right then, I'm having to cut back on the amount of cars and projects I have, and this is one I'm letting go.
Model: BMW 318iS 1.9
Year: 1996
Mileage: 112k (I think?!)
Tax: SORN
MOT: No
Location: Leicestershire
Price: £250
Contact details: PM me
I got this to turn into a cheap trackday car, but in reality I'm just not going to have the time.
I got it off my brother-in-law last year. The header tank had split and left him stranded, and somehow I ended up with the car after rescuing him. I put a new header tank on and drove it about 40 or 50 miles with no issues. It drove a lot nicer than it looked.
This has the 1.9 litre M44 engine, and BMW M-Tech suspension.
There is no interior in the car - no seats, no carpet, no nothing (it all got binned). The sunroof cassette is also missing. As are the rather fetching fake M3 mirrors in the pic. It does still have the dash in, and the steering wheel.
The body is pretty scruffy - dents, scratches and dings everywhere. I've had a look underneath before starting the project, and can't see any rust problems there. The rear arches have a few scabs showing but aren't rotten.
Realistically, I'd say the car would make a good donor, or would be alright as a track car if you can put some time into it and continue where I left off.
