Yeah this is another Carol but this is possibly the most obscure drag car ou will see. How does a Carol 360 drag car sound, full tube chassis, 13B turbo, front runners and large drag slicks. I can't even imagine how it would go, would be one scary ride thats for sure. Hope it gets finished. sawaiianpunch.com/Carol-E.htm

I am still dying to see how he does this car. The 360's are even smaller (well shorter anyway) then my 600 and there will be absolutely no room for anything. I am suprised he has managed to mount the engine and box in so easily. the other cars are mad too but this thing I keep checking back to to try sus it out for myself. Gonna send him an email about its progress soon.
Massive credit to him though for doing what he does on his own, the japs are great when they work in groups but very rarely do you see individuals like him get in and build stuff like on his page.

The car ID'd above as the Cozzi Jaguar is not that car. This page includes photos of the car as it was when built, and as it looks today. There a some key detail differences, including a more slab-sided design, different size and shape of the extractor vents, etc. www.johnstarkeycars.com/pages/articles/articles_36.htmlBTW, you have a wonderful site here at RetroRides, guys!

cant find many pics of it, cant be many thing more obscure than a mkV Cortina rally car (works no less) as far as i know it was the only one? considering how many were made its pretty odd to see a race version. i'd like to build a replica of it.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.

Think IIRC it had a 3-litre Essex V6 in it....Ford were looking round for alternatives to the Escort in the late '70's as it reached the end of its production life...they even rallied two 1600cc Mk1 Fiestas on the 1979 Monte Carlo Rally (driven by Roger Clark/Jim Porter, and Ari Vatanen/David Richards....Vatanen finished 9th overall).
