I bought a kit from a motorbike shop. It is a stainless and alloy polishing kit. It cost £23.95 came with a professional kit for doing the job inc. polishing wheels to fit onto your drill. I haven't used it yet but my mate has and its bloody good. I'll get the make for you when i get home.

Bstardchild sent me a comprehensive guide on how to do it, with a good section showing what polishing comes out best. I haven't finished my wheels (long term project), but they are coming along nicely.
I would send it on, but its on my computer at home, so it maybe better to PM him.

1200 grade wet and dry, polish and then a coat of clear laquer over the top!
