...that's what people keep telling me, anyway. But I disagree.
On my 21st birthday, my parents gave me a private registration number - they even got me a square front plate so that 'DAN' could have its own line:

Today's my 31st, so I've had a decade of swapping that plate around various cars. I've just been going through some old photos...

...and it's been on quite a few other cars that I can't find pics of too. No, the '398' doesn't have any significance, and the 'G' is just because the 309 I had at the time was already a G-reg. (And when they were looking at the plates, 'DAN 13L' was about £25k, so this was a much cheaper option!) So yeah, I've had ten years of being a private plate loser. Hurrah! May there be many more.
