Quick feasability study lol Non of my current cars have heated mirrors, nor are they from a range with them... so... Could I use something like this item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=190755821979 and wire it directly into the heated rear window circuit (as moderns) without any melty effects to my wiring? Or is there a better way with a lack of switch space? Thanks thanksss

Yeah, I did have a link saved to something more suitable like the grips but I couldn't find it when I needed it, so thanks!

You can get smaller ones, i read on the 205 forum of someone doing a 205 and the pad didnt require much trimming.
Current drawn is quite small so i believe they are fed from the same relay, if you are unsure its easy to use an additional relay triggered by the same switch wirr.

I've rebuilt and converted a few mirrors to heated, all they are is a wire stuck into in the sticky pad that holds the glass to the mounting plate, 6 to 8 runs of thin wire then wired into the RHW relay, personly i'd be looking for a heated mirror glass that's a good fit to your casing, they actually heat a lot less than you'de think, it doesn't take a lot to clear a mirror, probably way less than those pads (first link is to to an AP for an Iphone )

So is there a difference between heated mirror glass and normal mirrors? Nope just a wire embedded in the sticky foam on the back and 2 male terminals bonded to the back for the wires to push onto

RS Components and the like do quite a wide range of self adhesive heating pads.
Quite like the idea.
