Hi all, I'm selling my A4 as I've not got the time to repair it. Too many other projects on the go, you all know how it is.
I bought this a year ago, I've run it about, its done me well. The mileage is high at 185k, but as many other adverts will tell you, these will go for ever. It starts first time, cold and warm, doesnt smoke, and is as frugal as you'd imagine (I've had 60mpg out of it). Everything works, electric windows front and rear, climate control, no ABS or warning lights indicating faults.
Now, the required repairs. I took it off the road as I wanted to tax my Golf VR6, but about a week before I found a small pool of oil under the gearbox one day. towards the end of that week the clutch started slipping. I havent investigated the source, but I suspect it needs a new gearbox. The 2 usually go hand in hand with a cracked casing
It also needs 2 CV boots (joints are fine), and an ARB link, but those parts are included. Also could do with a rocker cover gasket.
I'm pretty sure there is a few months MOT left, the tax has lapsed. Bodywork is tidy for the age, bit of laquer peel on the NS A pillar, a couple of little parking dings, and its missing 2 wheel trims. Tyres are all good, plenty of meat. It has loads of Audi dealer service history.
