So here is the story. About 5 years ago I had a friend who was a countryside ranger and somebody he worked with rescued injured Buzzards (I know, but she did) and when one of them escaped she had to go and find it. The following day at work she told my mate she found it in a barn with old cars and there was a Beetle just like my pals. On hearing this he got straight on the phone to me and we arranged a visit to see what we could find. When we arrived, the initial thought was good with a Bedford CF and an old caravan parked outside. Looking through an open window we could see the Beetle parked under some hay and a bay window van parked beside it. Result. As the window was really just an open hole and no breaking was involved in the entering I climbed through to get a better look and was amazed to see more cars in the barn. As well as the 1303 Bug and Camper there was a MK2 Cortina with Lotus stripe. A vintage Morris (?) up on blocks with all the parts piled in the corner and the wings sitting on the load bed of a mini pickup. We got plenty of pics (below) and left the place as we found it. I did a bit of searching and found the owner of the barn (using the old "my dog ran into your barn ruse) to ask about buying but he wasnt interested. Current projects he said but not very current looking to me. Anyway, enjoy the pics. Dave.

**Wants to liberate the CF & give it a new lease of life** Always a shame when people leave stuff like this... "Ongoing projects" - my , unless they're just a project based on 'how long does it take a car to dissolve'

The 1930s "Morris" looks more like a late 30s or possibly early 40s Austin to me.
Shame to see them sitting rotting but TBH I'm little better...

Those projects are about as current as my oxford! Hate it when people get too attatched to their scrap and wont pass them on to people who may just get some enjoyment out of it instead of it being left to rot.

What a waste, no way he is going to do anything with that lot. We have someone in Banham just like that. Not doing anything with stuff but won't let anyone else near it either. Makes me mad!

That Bedford totally rocks. There's an old bloke in my parents' housing estate who's a horder. He's allegedly got old lathes and stuff in his living room. He also has a Hillman Imp rotting to oblivion in his front garden. Makes me sad to see it. I tried to buy it from him years ago, before I bought my first Imp, but he moved it and hid it somewhere for about a month, then put it back. Moron. "I'm"
