Hey, has anyone had much luck with these electric paint guns? ive seen one on a Motorsport shop on ebay, it looks the part. I'm obviously not looking for a showroom quality finish as there so cheap but what sort of experiences have people had with them? thanks for the help guys:) Joe

Did a nice enough job on my garden shed.
XBollox on here has one and uses it for car stuff. He gets reasonably good results from it, but I believe there is a real knack to getting paint consistency and gun settings right to avoid splatter.

I read something somewhere (can't find now ) about electric sprayguns being capable of injecting paint through skin. So might be an extra risk to be mindful of.

I've used an earlex one and it was fairly toss. Well, absolute toss. After spending ages setting it up, it was maybe almost as good as a rattlecan, but it was hugely dependent on the paint consistency. Would have been OK for doing a fence which is what it was designed for, really.
I've painted all kinds of things with terrible compressors and car boot sale guns, and even the worst of the worst was way better than this!
If you keep an eye out you can get a compressor for under £100 and an ebay gun is only about £15, you'd spend more money on wasted paint with the earlex than you'd save. A little compressor won't paint a full car in one hit but it'll do a panel fine.
