Wasn't it great to see it back again. GT6 with Cobra/slotmag/SuPaSlots' was superb! What was the bus? And ... ...The Mini Clubman was a late 70's example ;D

It was a real blast from the past seeing the orange/beige GM buses again. I'm sure it was only some time in the eighties that they changed them with deregulation. And Manchester never looked the same again.

i can't really understand why the plates are wrong, before they used my car i had to answer a whole load of questions, and even then they still reserved judgement until they saw the car.the props guy in charge of the cars etc has a whole stack of period plates etc in his truck he could use,and did use when i was there.iirc a granada had to have its plates swapped to older style ones so why did they miss the gt6 etc ?,fussy owners or a fussy director ?.i even got pulled up about a tiny period sticker in my back window ,and they even went as far as to give me a period tax disc to use for the day.i think skodastop had the same when they used his car, maybe worse as they made him change his wheels and remove his spotties.

If you want to see some stuff that shouldnt have existed yet, have a look at quadrophenia - set in the late `60s, yet theres a Fiat 128 and an Austin 1100 stacked up in a scrapyard scene, I know these cars rusted a bit but I didnt think people were having to scrap them 3 or 4 years before they made.

For ultimate bloopers, one show I watched many moons ago had a reconstruction of the Aldermaston CND march, which was in about 1958 or so. Sitting proudly by the roadside was a (Chrysler) Avenger estate with CND banners on it! So it was at least 18 years too new.
Considering this programme was from the mid eighties, it was the equivalent of leaving a 1999 Mondeo on the set of LoM!
