Due to a new job, I have to travel a lot which has resulted in higher outgoings of fuel in my daily driver. As a result, I have to put up my much loved RX7 for sale. There is no chance of me being able to afford to use it this year. It saddens me to do this, as I'll never own one like this again for a long time.
The car:
It is currently sat in storage due to my parents drive now being full but I will be getting it out of storage and putting it on my friends driveway (I've stated this to avoid confusion of address's).
I bought it from him a few years ago as he was not using it, it needed very little work to get road legal. Though it had running issues which were fixed by Silverstone autosport (Have since changed names to Group B Motorsport). These included replacement of the OMP, refurbishment of the fuel injectors, setting up the throttle body assembly and generally setting up the engine to make sure it was spot on (It was there for 6 weeks!).
The car has covered 62K miles. It has fitted:
Powerflow exhaust system
FCD
Front strut brace
Expensive air filter
JDM steering wheel
Headlight scoop (needs repainting)
I will include in the sale if I get near the asking price:
Decat
Rear strut brace
USDM aero mirrors that I imported and repaired. (Need repainting)
And for £80 an Alloy turbo 2 bonnet (needs painting)
The body work is in good condition but both front wings have dents at the bottom (Easy fix as its a small panel sectioned off). The rear arches although solid need attention now before they start to rust through.
The drivers seat has wear on the edge which I have lived with. The engine pulls very hard, so hard infact I think its making more than standard. The alarm siren went faulty and would not turn off, although the alarm unit works ok. I have cut the wire to the siren.
The car has been sat now since November in storage and needs tyres for mot, service, good clean and a polish. It ran great prior to storage, I used it every other day last year up untill the start of winter. I'd advise on checking the brakes due to the performance of the car before it is put back on the road.
I am asking £1500 ONO. After some TLC, this car will be worth a lot more and make an awesome toy as it did for me.
