That said, despite the very sorry looks its actually really solid. I've bought it for my wife. Only she doesn't know. But she likes ADO16s and especially the Wolseleys. The plan is to sort out the body and get it painted over the next six months. She's pregnant so the plan is to have it all done and then pick her and the baby up from the Hospital in it after she gives birth. I can't wait to see her expression! |

I can't wai to see her expression! Brave chap - photos will be required If she knew I bought it she'd kill me. She likes pretty, shiny, nicely restored old cars so I'm going about this very quietly/slyly. That said, once it's done, she'll love it. |

Their son listed it, but when I went out to check it over it was the father I dealt with. He runs a shop and took it off the hands of the previous owner, some old gentleman, in trade for an Austin Maxi. Apparently the old guy had always wanted to own a Maxi. They do like their old cars in the family. The owner has an MGB GT and his wife has a Droop Snoop Magnum stashed away in the garage. He also comes across a lot of old stuff through clients. He mentioned a very solid Imp that the family of the deceased owner asked him to sell for them. Apparently he listed it on Ebay around Christmas but got no joy. I'm going to ask him to check and see if he can find out if it is still available. |
