Spent the day tinkering with the Rangey today, changed the dizzy cap and plugs while my mate Jim was doing a few jobs on his Audi 90 Quattro, he fixed a leak on the exhaust, tidied up some wiring and lubed up the sunroof mechanism. The sun was warm and the rain stayed off. There was a bacon and egg buttie at lunch and a kitkat with a cuppa at 3pm, It was a quality day. While i'm here, Jim's looking for someone to make him a stainless exhaust for the Audi, the local powerflow places aren't too much cop up here and he was thinking of going to somewhere in Wales to get it done. Any recommendations for anywhere nearer?

maybe not..... she's a 3.9 hotwire injection
might have worked ok on the Triumph though but i'm taking the Rover engine out of that. I need one for a Chevy V8 so if you come across one, let me know

Cracking selection of motors! Sounded like a good day was had - I'm missing that 'curse word about with motors quality' in my lfe lately. I saw a white Evo the same as that today (damaged/repairable). Audi 90 Quattro !!! Fab cars ! Is that the restored one that was for sale quite recently (was quite pricey IIRC!) up north somewhere? Used to have one & miss it loads. Heres a link to a company that plan to do stainless exhausts for various Audi's, the B2 is listed as one of them. In Belgium but they do ship to the UK & their prices are reasonable IMO. They list stuff on ebay occasionally too. Could be worth asking the question to encourage them on a bit!

I'll pass that on to my mate, the trouble with the local places is he's called them several times to get a quote and no-one bothered calling back. Also, most of the fitters seem like numpties and the quality isn't too good, they don't seem to put much thought into the finishing (clamps on squint, threaded ends of clamps not trimmed, use as much straight pipe as possible so some ground clearance is lost). if this place in Stirling is worth a look then i'm sure he'll be happy to go there.

yes it was for sale up here somewhere, price wasn't too bad (in my book) but its in not bad condition and came with a satck of spares, wouldn't class it as restored as some tidying is needed but its sound enough. He's planning on keeping it though and has started gathering bits for a suspension rebuild and new rear arches and trim ready for a respray.

The one I saw was an identical car but was described as immaculate & up for 2,000 pounds IIRC. They're only going to go up in value from here on in I think.
