My stereo as per title was removed from my Scooby over a year ago due to the ribbon cable attaching the front panel to the headunit had broken. I've been humming and harring over fixing it, which will cost me £11. As its been a year I'm a bit unclear on how good the sound was (I thought it was good but can't be sure!) so was wondering if any of you think its worth fixing it?
I have a CD in there. So fix it or break it to get the CD out. (I have a home for it ---- it if its worth fixing!) ;D

fix it, and in the process retrieve cd even if you don't fix it, there;s no need to butcher it just to get the cd out, just op it open and have a poke.

£11 doesn't sounds alot for a working CD player, so i would fix it, then if you think the sound isn't good enough, you could sell it on and at get at least your money back (and your CD )

I'm sorry if I come of snobby here, but we're arguing over spending £11 that's not even a couple of gallons of petrol, if you cant afford that I fail to see how you can run a scooby....

Replaced the newish sony xplod cd player with it and the quality of sound is soooo much better...

I don't, I sold the car last year I'm not arguing over cost I was just wondering if it was a worthy unit to repair, I.e. if it was originally a cheap Halfords special or something a bit more up-market! I'm not gonna waste my time on a cheap Halfords special...... I stayed up all night wondering which option to take, but ultimately I just couldn't decide and now I have a migraine lol
