Ok , well i've just been made redundant so i've got some more time to sort this , Who fancied a meetup in March , and where?
Also whilst i've got the attention of the local knowledge , where can I buy some steel , mild box section , round bar etc for making up frames and tyre racks?
I don't mind having 5 metre lengths delivered by lorry as I have a nice big yard.
Cheaper the better.

I'm still up for it. Can even bring my new toy... Steel - check the yellow pages or do some googling. I had to do similar ages ago and even eBay had some good deals.

Only just found this thread, so hi everyone. I'm just north of Bedford. Couple of my mates have used shot blasting and powder coating places around Rushden, Will try and dig out the details when I see them. Also for a steel supplier of pretty much anything you could want, there is a good one just over in Biggleswade with reasonable prices, they will just sell a sheet or whatever, don't have to be a bulk order.

Just found this thread, I live in Rushden and have a 50ft x 25ft unit on a farm in Wollaston. In there i have a 2 post ramp and an abundance of tools, currently trying to restore a midget along with fixing customers cars in what little spare time I have. Would enjoy meeting some more local like minded people.

Well , i'm calling all Bedfordshireans , i'm in a position where i'm having to move out my place (landlord selling up) , which means i'm losing my workshop , my yard/storage and my home....
Anyone know of anywhere going that encompasses workshop and living quarters like this ?? anywhere is considered as long as its in the home counties!
ST NEOTS or SANDY would be ideal as the missus works there.

I'm halfway between St Neots and Bedford, will have a nose around the local area. Would you be interested in a separate workshop or has it still all got to be together?

Not in Beds but have been keeping a weather eye on this thread just out of pure noseyness! Bolf, how did you get on with the house/workshop hunt?
