My car related goals? I'm hoping to own as many interesting cars as possible within my lifetime. If a car interests me, I want to own it for at least some time. Luckily most of the cars I'm interested in (mostly shonky old J-tin) are very cheap. A more cheesy goal, I would love to drive across America in an old car. Not a desirable one either, something a bit worn out like an old Country Squire Wagon with mega miles on the clock. A real adventure! A final cheesy goal, I would love to own a Countach at some point. They're unreliable, impractical and are meant to be dreadful to drive on normal roads. That to me is the mark of a true supercar.

Right now, to get back on my feet financially and back on the road.
Five years: a barge and two toys.
Ten years: multiples of the above.
18 years (40): enough land/storage and disposable income to allow myself to browse eBay whilst drunk again...

My lifetime goals are to travel around the world in a camper and to travel in a car at 200mph.
In about 20 years Ford Mondeos will probably do 200 anyway though...

I want at least one V8 car by the time I'm 40. The way things are going though, If I get rid of the Octavia, I'll have one by next week. What to hope for, for the next 18months then? I guess reliability

short term goals are to get the skud and 411 driveable then plough all my efforts into the bug - that IS my dream. i also want to get out to the salt flats, and join the 200 club (which means setting a record) getting out to the TT is def on my list, as is the 'ring and doing some serious road trips on 2 wheels. oh, and putting on the most kickass car show this country has ever seen!

I'll not put my full list up - it's a bit long (but 50% of it achieved in 25 years of driving) Based on another 25 years of driving left in me should get it all done ;-)
I work on a one by one principle - next goal tick it off - move on
The ring is my current goal - May should see that achieved ;D

1. Do some laps of the Nurburging (or Nordschleife if your that way enclined) - am heading there in April in the E30 M3. Nice!
2. Do a 10 sec quarter mile - hopefully the Evo will get me there when its built.
3. Own a supercharged V8 that makes a noise that scares children - ooh, I can't wait until my Triumph is going.
4. Get a job working with cars in some way shape or form.
5. Learn to conrol oversteer instinctively.
6. Actually make money selling a car, even 1p would be nice.

mmm
short term- next 3 years- have an engine built by me in my celica and do a few track days in it. preferable with stand alone management built by myself. that bit wont happen in 3 years i can tell you. micra running well on twin SU's tuned by myself.
after that- move to a rural house with more toy room, preferably a double garage, space outside it and a workshop / storeroom outbuilding.
after that project old celica can begin- gen1 coupe, gen2 coupe or celica supra Mk2 on tb'd straight six- don't mind which.
also would like to have a big V8 engined motor. I was sat in the petrol station at weekend and a guy pulled out of the forcourt sideways in his purple dodge challenger, that rekindled that one.
Would also like to swap the micra for a van as a daily driver at some point- ideally a 105 anglia shaped one, but an HA or even a meastro will do.

1. Get my own custom car workshop(already got a business but its no where near enough) 2. Make Summernats top 10, more after top 5 though. with something very unusual and without the regular V8 inside. 3. Get into historic rally, inparticular Targa Tassie and build up my skills with that as much as possible. Already have an import company on the look out for my beast for this, Ford Perana.
There big but thats about it, house and family is a little more important than cars to me though.
