Its an air brained idea and someday someone will be mental and do it! Smaller BIG MINI, as in the new MINI chopped to an original Mini scale, yes its silly but everything is possible! I WANT ONE! Now! would attempt a propper photoshop if I had it here summat else I like

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

The blue mini is utterly hideous and must be crushed at once.
At the moment it passes itself off as a BMW mini quite well, however in 6 months when the a-panels have rotted away to nowt and the headlights have fallen bacwards into the wings the truth will be plain to see.

I know where there is a rat 55 Oval in need of love. Perhaps I could convince the owner to modernise it in this way?

I've always wanted to make a big Mini - perfectly to scale but about the size of a large van. THEN see if I get intimidated by other road users! Wanted to do the same thing with the 2CV too - maybe base it around a Tatra V8 to keep it aircooled! (yes, the engine would need to be at the other end)

I actualy like the bug. I saw the suicides and the side hinge boot lid and the slidey engine cover and thought nice workmanship.
It wasn't until the "highway" shot that I saw the front bumper/wings were NuBeetle and thought "Hmm, Wow, OK, Different, I like it".

Not a fan of either to be honest.
Can appreciate the workmanship but maybe the son would have driven the MIni if his dad had made something slightly more tasteful. Mind if my dad put all that hard work in I'd still drive the thing!! Even if I slowly tuned it back into an original mini LOL

Buy a proper Mini, Try and make it look like a BMW mini End up with an abortion the son is too embarassed to drive. It's a Mini adventure. Argh I guffawed out loud when I read that and now I feel bad.
