Hi guys, long story short (because I just deleted the whole ad I'd written!) it is with a heavy heart that I need to move the Lada on to new pastures. It has little tax and test hence the low price.
Sob story:
We are saving for a mortgage deposit - living at her mummy's house and am consequently skint. Like, very, very skint. You know skint yeah? I'm more skint that that. I therefore have realised I'm not going to be in a postion to tax and test it in April.
This brings us to today, or this evening to be precise - where I am putting it up for sale. I figure if I wait, I'm not going to be in a position to keep it on the road so I should offer it for sale for not a lot of cash whilst its still a perfectly useable motor. I'm currently using it every day so the mileage will increase!
Its very low mileage (confirmed by a load of old MoTs and the condition of the interior) and had a load of new bits. It'll also come with loads of spares but I'll get onto that later.
There are a few issues (its a 22 year old Lada ;D ) and I shall go through them for you now. Please bear in mind, to save any messing I'm going to list every fault I know of - this isn't a usual selling practice as you may be aware, however I find it to be best for all parties
Bad points first:
..Short tax (April 31st) and short test (April 1st)
..The passenger front wing has a hole in it.
..The passenger arch has a hole where it meets the sill (not the sill, so a bit of tape should see it through the test - worked last year according to the previous owner and the only advisories last year were cracked tyres)
..Wiper stalk snapped - still works though! (new one bought and awaiting postage from Dez of 'budget hotrod' fame, I can give him your address to post it to if need be)
..One of the rear seatbelts is broken (bought spare one from Dez awaiting postage)
..Sometimes first thing in the morning the brake servo doesn't work unless you hold the pedal for a couple of seconds then its fine. Never happens when driving though. (good servo in the boot!)
..Clutch pedal slowly sinks over about 100 miles or so, just needs a pump and its fine again.
..Slightly rough idle due to the missing accelerator pump (I removed it as the diaphragm split but I've bought a fully rebuilt Samara carb so you can either fit that or take the diaphragm off and fit it)
..Uses a bit of oil
Thats all I can think of.
Good points.
..Starts and drives and gets me to work and back every day.
.. 31000 miles.
..New clutch.
..New brake master cylinder.
..Custom exhaust (sounds awesome and isn't loud).
..16 brand new wheel bolts.
..Rare Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV alloys.
..Very meaty tyre tread all round.
..Working original Pheonix tape deck with matching speakers.
..Mountey woodrim steering wheel with brand new alloy horn push.
..Working window winders (rare apparently!)
..Lots of old MoTs and some bills.
..Haynes manual.
..Awesome heater!
..Working headlight wash/wipers (removed the wiper arms as it looks a bit neater but its a 30 second job to refit).
..Working rear demist.
..New 'euro' wipers.
..Hula girl on the dash to keep you company

Hole at bottom of arch, you can see the jacking point here and all four are as solid as a rock, I've used them all with the standard (awesome) Lada jack.
1979 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV alloys:

Service book:
I definately didn't remove or delete the last images but never mind, they're lovely pictures of stamped service books and old MoT's
PM me or reply on the thread no problem. I'm after replacing it with something like a cheap volvo estate hack for moving house and swanning about.
Forgot to mention it comes with a full length ally roof rack which is probably worth a few quid too! It's also had a new voltage regulator, plugs, leads and dizzy cap and comes with spare points and condensor.
Cheers, Dave
