The story starts with an old chap who visits our house once or so a month for Sunday dinner, he's 89, 90 this year. A month or so ago we had our garage broken into (nothing major stolen thankfully.) As we were telling him about it his reply was "Bloody wish they'd break into my garage and clear it out for me" At that point we asked him what he had in his garage, out of interest. He replied a Singer Sport, Huh? Oh a car. I've always been into cars, old cars especially so i asked if i could pop over one night after work and take a look, he said sure and over i went a few days later.
Lifted up the garage door and this was sat there.
My eyes lit up, fooking awesome. He said he'd bought it for getting to and from work 33 ish years ago, said he sometimes did 100 miles a day in it, it's on 85K Miles despite being sat for over 30 years!
At that point he said "If you want it take it, saves me scrapping it"
SCRAPPING IT? NO.
It had been in that garage over 30 years after the clutch went and the head was leaking water badly.
After a bit of persuasion i was allowed to clear out and use the garage at home to store it.
Next day the garage was cleaned/organised ready for it when i could get it collected
Spoke to my boss at work as he has a car trailer and he said no worries we can go and get it at the weekend and trailer it back for you. Went over Friday to get it, cleared all the curse word out of the way and tried pushing, no luck... In the end we ended up dragging it out with the land rover, rear brakes were seized solid and we didn't have tools with us So i went home again.
Got up early Saturday morning and went over with some tools, a big of hammering and shouting and swearing later the drum was off and it was free'd up Next issue was the flat tyres, over on the Imp forum a nice guy who lives local said he could lend me 4 wheels from his lockup so went over and got them.
This time armed and ready we headed over this morning to get it, fitted the new wheels with this fancy 'air' stuff, i rate it highly. All went well, got it loaded up.
Got it home around lunchtime today and couldn't wait to start doing bits, gave it a hell of a clean, truck wash is awesome stuff, thanks for the recommendation.

Then i tucked it away in the garage for today.
Plan is to restore it, spend an hour or so some evenings after works/spend time working on it at weekends when I'm free, i'm in no rush to get it done and want to do it properly. It's my first restoration and apparently a rather rare car
Will keep this updated as i do little bits here and there
