	today I removed the intake manifold to weld bung for MAT sensor but I found some weird things in the intake port ,right in the middle and its got some electric connector under the ports anyone know What is it and how to remove it? the engine is m111 2.2L from w124 connector thanks

	I'm guessing, but I'd say it's a heater to improve fuel vapourisation when cold to allow less fuel in the warm up period (lower emissions etc). One in every inlet port presumably? Sorry, no idea how to remove or if removal would be worthwhile. Nick

	that was my thought too as it looks like fins, and yes one in every port i will try to remove it tomorrow , thank for your help
