Hi guys
Can anyone recomend a firm to build a replica fuel tank for my project......
Even pattern versions arent available.
Preferably in south yorks, but within an hour of Barnsley would be great

What car is it? Could you not squeeze a fuel cell in from somewhere like Demon Tweaks?

Its a Mk1 VW caddy...... Plenty of room under the bed to mount a new tank, after all its where the original one sits.
It was more about making a like for like swap....... I am trying to find someone to replicate the current size, fittings, outlets and orientation.
Its part of a group buy feeler for the whole caddy community, so some might not want a fuel cell style set up, but would want to keep things as near to how they are now as possible.

I know its a commercial vehicle but i thought VWs heritage place might have been able to help . Have you contacted them at all ? IAlso i think there might be a company which advertises in the back of practical classics , or you could try searching for caravan or canal boat tank makers .

Heritage don't do them, not enough demand for it to be viable either if I'm honest.
Spoke to a custom tank guy and nearly fell off my chair when he quoted me.
Good shout on canal/marine tanks though.
It might just need to simplify the vw design, removing all the different profiles, but being broadly the same design...
Many thanks

Have a look on ebay, couple of companys that sell Hilux & Landrover tanks for under £150. Dunno if they would be able to be made to fit? I have 2 ford orion tanks & a mk2 golf gti tank you could use to size up if any use?
