not sure if anyones an expert or remembers working on a bx, but after firing up a long term stander, front rose, back didnt, but most worryinly we have nothing on the brakes!
ive checked fluid is getting to the cylinder, via the bleed nipple, and there are no obvious leaks anywhere. pointers, sujestions, anything would be handy.
cheers in advance,

Hi, have you started with the obvious - LHM level in the reservoir? I've not delved too far in to the finer points of the system myself as my car works okay. Trying to put my logical head though, for the front to rise the pump is managing to build pressure (if not there's a size 12 bleed bolt on the regulator on the front of the gearbox and opening and closing this half a turn a few times with the engine running can help bleed the system for the pump to build up pressure). So - suspension height is controlled by the height correctors (one at the front and one at the back - look like a little bellows affair with a few metal pipes screwed in), they can get sticky, so shift the height level up and down a few times and see if the back will come up. My car had problems with the front one and as I understand it they are not serviceable (and stupidly expensive). I got underneath and worked it in and out a few times which has helped. You might need to try this at the back. Re the brakes - I'd try bleeding first as like any other car, air in there will cause failure. With the engine running put a bit of hose on a calliper bleed nipple and into a jam-jar and just press the brake. None of the usual up/down business required. If there is fluid flow then the system I would imagine, is working. If this doesn't work get hold of Haynes manual - it gives a good description of all the valves and regulators in the system. www.BXclub.co.uk is very good and what they don't know isn't worth thinking about.
