What happened to Slater? I only met him once at the NASC Nationals. I know he's doing the UrbEx thing quite a bit and he popped up once when someone on autoshite was having a dig at him, but is he still into cars?

I'm sure I read somewhere that the metro was shipped over to the states not sure if this is true or not.

Yeah, 99% sure that when it was put up For Sale it was snapped up by a collector either in America or Canada. Not sure it even sees the light of day now, just part of a private collection.

Your sort of right The car was bought buy a guy who was stationed over here in the air force. so when he returned to the USA he took the car with him. It's just used as a regular car, not part of a private collection.

I like that ending to this story. I was lucky enough to see it in the metal at the old Norfolk meets. Cracking car.

Cor, this is a blast from the past tonight; Slater and K5! AFAIK Slater has binned most of his projects (I think his mojo failed after the Pug 505Gti) but kept the one I wanted to buy, his slammed ex-BT Ital van which I think popped up on Farcebook the other night....
