correct me if I'm wrong:
i know that a rapid change in RPM, as well as blow by will cause your crank case to be at a + pressure, correct?
the is obviously acting against the backs of your pistons and costing you a small, probably un noticeable amount of power, but also against seals and what not in your engine, althought its not the end of the world, it is a problem.
the reliant engine currently has a 6mm pipe from the rocker cover to the SU, this is not good as your dumping oily, hot, possibly wet air into the mixture, and 6mm is pretty small / fast flowing.
now what i was going to do to fix this is where i get abit hazey, most people just plumb two 1/2" pipe in, one on the rocker cover, the other on the fuel pump blanking plate, going to a catch tank then to atmosphere, however, others set it up with a 1 way valves on the two pipes, one to allow air in but not out, and the other to alow it out, but not in, (which of the two pipes should be which?)
i don't realy want to splurge mega bugs on a catch tank either, so was just going to use a old tin or somthing, which wont be as effective as say dom's units, but will hopefully work to a extent.
is that all correct? and whats best?
and lastly, has anyone got any steel tube in 1/2" od that i could purchase a few feet off for making my vents.
