Does anyone know of any leads, ex dealers, ex owners, anything at all. Thanks. For those who don't know, the Lonsdale is a rebadged Mitsubishi Sigma, and was only available for 13 months in the UK in the early 1980s.

I think it may be a struggle - did they actually sell any at all? Sigmas are few and far between

Seeing as I can't post in the beige wonderland yet, I'll join in here instead. I have zero information regarding an outlet for Lonsdale purchasing that does not have a hood attached I am afraid. You want cheap socks though, giz a shout.
The Seat Malaga was also mentioned in the Lonsdale WTD thread, and this reignited a missed opoortunity in my early adulthood. You see, a friend claimed to have acquired one of these rare and sought after (in some quarters) slices of Spanish misery, and I did not know what it was. My eagerness to have a poke about, was only multiplied when I was told of it's ability to hold another mate hostage in the boot.
Alas, I never did get to see it. My mate scrapped it shortly afterwards* but even he knew it was nearly extinct even then. 1999/2000 was the year.
*The second friend was extracted before she was dragged away by a smiley Tipper.

I take it no one has seen a Lonsdale badged car then? It must be one of the few cars that is totally extinct?

There will be one parked up in a lock up somewhere next to a Sao Penza, I'm sure.

The first and only Lonsdale Estate I have ever seen was in the late 80's when I was on Traffic patrol, it was carrying beer barrels. It's owner had a Micro brewery somewhere at the Leyburn/Masham end of Wensleydale iirc. I only stopped it because it was, a, on the bump stops, and b, a Lonsdale (not necessarily in that order).

I know what you mean lol Last one I saw was a saloon in Denbigh, North Wales in the early 90's. Not seen one since!

I remember Lonsdales. A friend of the family owned a Lonsdale dealership, Whiteleaf Garage in Monks Risborough, Bucks. This was predominantly a Mitsubishi dealership which was demolished years ago to make way for houses. I still have some Lonsdale brochures from about '83-'84 somewhere, if I can find them I'll scan them

Never heard of one - reckon you're in dodo territory reading between the lines on here. I see Sao Penza mentioned above - I'd completely forgotten about them! Rebadged 323 wasn't it?

They were assembled in Australia at the Lonsdale plant and shipped over fully assembled in order to avoid the tax on Japanese vehicles which the Lonsdale was somehow exempted from because technically it originated from Australia.
