I've really enjoyed owning this car, she's very fun, and regularly put a smile on my face! It got a lot of attention at shows and lots of love from America and the guys on StanceNation. I'm part of LowlifeUK, hence the Try Harder sticker on the windscreen. I'll be sad to get rid of her, but she just doesn't get used any more and I'm saving to go travelling.
She has always been a bit of a toy, but with the welded differential (easily swappable for an open one sourced from Mazdarotaryclub) she was roughly set up as a drift car. Unfortunately I didn't have enough money in the whole time I have owned her to actually take drifting back up, so she's not been used in anger afterall!
Ebay: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230944309350
MOT - Sept 2013. She is SORN atm, can be taxed at buyers cost for convenience if needed.
Spec:
A full set of satin black Mitsi Starion wheels, VERY good tyres all round (even if the rears are balloons!)
HKS mushroom air filter
2.5 JDM catless downpipe, decatted straight through exhaust to some subtle backboxes - sounds quite interesting for a rotary, very quiet on idle and a nice purr, but sounds great when you come onto boost.
Cusco front and feed rear coilovers (feeds have adjustable damping)
Rolled and pulled rear arches
Rolled and pulled front arches
Aftermarket steering wheel - flat and cheap, just what I had laying around. Boss is good for anything though!
Almost mint leather seats - even the drivers bolster is perfect. Su (pics upon request)
Tinted rear lights, front and side repeaters
Electric mirrors and roof
Airpump/emissions gubbins removed. All included in sale
Dual alternator belt pulley (needed for safety if airpump disconnected/removed)
Magnecor KV85 HT leads
Welded diff
DTSS eliminator bushes, to eliminate the 'rear steer' these cars came with. Right of a job!
Dark grey aluminium bonnet (far lighter than steel version)
CAT1 alarm and immobiliser fitted, paperwork to prove.
Other good points:
Not rusty - we had to do some welding to get her on the road originally, now nice and solid
Rebuild engine at 73K - receipts etc to show, and in the time I've owned her she's not flooded once, unlike most rotaries
LOTS of history etc
The roof can be run as a targa, which is much nicer for motorway cruising. The wind deflector built into the 'parcel shelf' is the best thing ever! I've been in many convertibles since this, and never found anything as good.
Haynes manual included
Bad:
Drivers door has a big dent in, I have a friend who is breaking his black FC 'vert and I, or the owner of this car has dibs on the door. It is based by Heathrow.
Paint peeled on the edges of the front arches from rubbing/rolling, no rust though
The rear half of the roof is shagged, leaks and needs replacing, this is where they all go unfortunately. I have some roof vinyl pieces that can be glued or stitched in.
The car was broken into during my ownership, and the N/S quarterlight window was smashed. This has been replaced with a vinyl sheet. The stereo was stolen, but that is all - still no stereo fitted.
Can come with, upon negotiation:
R-magic ECU (caters for 0.9 bar boost, filter, exhaust, FMIC)
Very lightened flywheel
3" catback exhaust - with the decat this is VERY loud, hence not running it atm.
Spare passenger cloth seat
Blitz MFCS - plug and play multifuel computer system that fits in next to the standard ECU and allows you to adjust fuelling. Best run with wideband monitoring or similar.
Spare red front and rear bumpers and TII sideskirts. The vert doesn't come with sideskirts from factory.
New, standard front and rear brake pads
Standard 15" BBS wheels

This was dyno'd at 220bhp at about 7'000rpm with the wastegate actuator opening uncontrolled. (the car hit 0.6 bar boost, but was massively leaking boost) This is now fixed and she boosts from just over 2.5K rpm at stock boost, 0.45 bar, very strongly thanks to the exhaust and filter. At 0.7 bar+ or so (achievable with the ECU fitted and a decent boost controller) she would be fantastic! Due the the rotary design, very minor mods, like those I've done, make a big difference.
The switches in the centre console are for the headlights, due to the switch not working properly - although I have a spare, untried one of these too!
The car is dry because I have a car cover over the roof, so don't worry about rot inside!
Any questions, feel free to ask!
I've got this front lip for her too, it's just not attached atm. Obviously thrown in free:
