Yep, its supposed to be a cheap place to buy stuff, I bought a pair of coilover springs for a tenner, and a decidedly horsey burger, that was all, Some of the stuff was so stupid it was beyond belief, Wilys front end, £4500!!!!! HotRodding was meant to be about building faster cars on the cheap, Ill get off my high horse

Looks like you had a good day. I'm not a great lover of American cars - but I have SO MUCH WANT for a '59 El Camino. ;D

some stuff was just horrendously expensive, as it always is there. I recon some of em just bring it out and stick a daft price on it just to say 'look at what ive got'.
some stuff was really good value too though, and the choice of stuff was huge, especially pre-war ford stuff. not that long ago people were fighting for stuff like model A grille shells and '40 ford brakes when they came up, there were at least a dozen of each to chose from today! that A sedan body for two and a half would have been a good buy given the condition and what you got with it, and the moredoor '47?/'48? sedan with a jag front clip, sbc and a rear axle swap for 3k was a bloody bargain in my eyes. saying that, I only bought 3 things for a sum total of 60 quid despite having a big wad burning a hole in my pocket and a long shopping list. I did go back for a few things id thought about though, and they were gone, so plenty of stuff was selling.

Some of the prices were a little inflated And the only thing I bought was some tubes off dez having said that it was nice to see everyone and a trip to the dungeon to deliver the above v8
Was impressed with the size of the meet most things I go to at arena Essex are a major disappointment

I thought prices were good this year. 32 Firewall for £450 was good, as were 32 K member and chassis... Was umming n arring over a pair of petrol tanks that were up for £15 quid each, bloke said take them both for £20. Got a bomber seat, complete Model A front end dirt cheap and other bits and bobs....was on a mission though, didn't stop to chat much, I stayed focused!

some great photos there. oh and I had a go kart exactly like that as a kid. (the red kettcar) those were the days of stupid stunts and suicidal downhill races on them. somehow when you're a kid nothing seems dangerous haha.
