Okay guys, just wondered (and I'm not looking for anybody to justify themselves here , why do you stick with one brand? By nature I can't stick do it, the automotive world is like an all you can eat buffet to me and I keep going back for more. So why always go to the local pub for your dinner? I grew up around vintage MG's and Rileys, yet I've owned neither. We all have a commonality of interest on here, it just fascinates me that people can stick with one make to the detriment of all others, do you ever wonder what you might be missing out on? Or is it the heritage side of things? ;D

I for one have never changed because any equivalent manufacturer/model that offers the same performance, interior, level of supply and so on is either much more expensive, uninsurable or not as nice or interesting When I was looking at cars this summer I looked at RX7s (not powerful enough), Renault 21s, Honda Preludes (modern ones), BMW 325iS (too expensive to insure), BMW 2002s (too slow and too much of a premimum), Stags (didn't like the one I went to buy), Toyota AE92s (ended up not liking it much)........Test drove a few others things but nothing inspired me as much Looked into buying a Corvette or 65 Notchback Mustang as well would you believe it - almost bought a lovely cherry red one off eBay.. Did awfully like E21 323 Bimmers though - might go for one of those next. I guess I just haven't found anything that presses the right buttons and has that certain desireability to me yet

I worry about the unknown. Never fear though, I'm getting better. Next car will hopefully be another Honda or a - shock, horror - FWD Volvo! [Edit: Not a 440/460 I hasten to add, like I said, I'm getting better! ]

I'm with you Bryn, I can't keep to one brand when there are loads of others around! That said I do really like old Benzies, and if I had to stick to one marque I think that would be it.
There's a lot to be said for people who really like one marque above all else though. Without those people with that level of enthusiasm, I'm sure that things like owners clubs and parts supplies would be a lot thinner on the ground.

Okay guys, just wondered (and I'm not looking for anybody to justify themselves here , why do you stick with one brand? Found summut I liked after a fair bit of variety in the early years - a car that was all things to me... Also sucked into brand/model loyalty as once I knew what made em tick fixing them was easy and I also started to accumulate some spares which kept running costs down.... It was a slippery slope but I think I have reached the bottom ;D
