How is the radio/stereo wired. I'm going to go out on a limb if the Octie sells and try to buy one with MOT until Nov to hussle arround in. I noticed in the listing there isn't a radio fitted. It's an 86 if that matters. So are they bare wires, is there a proprietory Rover/Landie connector that needs adapting, or are they by some shear fluke of luck and ISO connector as they would have had half decent stereos from the start?

In that 86 I've pictured, it should be infront of the shifter and hi-lo lever shouldn't it. I think I can see a cage.
Unless I get a really good one, I'll probably not do the CarPC until it passes at least one MOT. But I'll just get a parrot Rhythm'n'Blue so I get a bluetooth handfree in the deal.

Yeah, on post-86 ones it fitted in that slot just in front of the centre console.

Sweet guys, cheers. Looks like Job one will be "fit ISO conector". With Job two being buy stereo. Then later followed by, Job three, remove door cards to find out if there any speakers because there isn;t any noise coming out

Academic now anyhoo. The Octavia didn't sell, and she would castrate me if I bought before I sold, this time.

There will always be cheap rangies. As for stereos 86 range rovers never came with iso connectors as i just wired my cd player directly in.After about 2 days my dad borrows it and cranks the volume up and blows all the speakers ::)But the best in car entertainment is that V8 sound........you are buying a V8 right? ;D

Couldn't agree more Lord Young. My P6B had the original factory fit radio in it. Never turned it on!

Yes it will be a V8, but on the few times I'm bombing up the motorway some good old fashion goth rocking tunes would be perfect.
That was why the matt black one, with apparently, just needing steering pump seals and one rear drive shaft seal, would have been just perfect. Matt black: Check Longish MOT: Check Apparently sound and drives well: Check Doesn't overheat: Check No major rust: Check LPG with Certificate: Check 120 litre tank: Oh yes baby.
Would have been spot on. Spot on I tell you and would have saved having to roller 90 gallons of flat black.
