Anyone know anywhere i can purchase a small amount of stainless steel tubing at all 3"OD 1.5 mm wall thickness.
I have tried locally but they all seem to want me to buy 3 meters of the stuff and its kin expensive

2m isnt an offcut kind of length, a 3m length will be the best option. Then again its not going to do the car any good?

Jetex, are pretty good for exhaust tubing but 3" is massive, thats 450+hp Turbo territory......

I haven't got time to get price but it weighs approx 3.4kg. Perhaps you can get cost, i don't mind wrapping it but i'm a bit busy today. If its any help i'm going to Sudbury tomorrow night so could bring it part way if you want to collect from there.

Theres a few hygeinic stainless steel suppliers on the net, try them (do a google) or there are a few sellers on Ebay whi I just bought some through

Sorry to thread hijack, but can you weld stainless steel? If I had about 1 1/2 ft of tube and the right flange and the right sized nut welded to it id have a de-cat pipe.

Sorry to thread hijack, but can you weld stainless steel? If I had about 1 1/2 ft of tube and the right flange and the right sized nut welded to it id have a de-cat pipe. Yep. Best to use stainless MIG wire, but ordinary stuff does the job, it just rusts
