	hi all, With several items now ordered for the passat, i am thinking of putting a classic style porsche 911 steering wheel on my passat. there seem to be a few on the german bay. does anyone know if this has been done before and if adaptors are available? think an adaptor can be made? is it completely stupid idea cos splines are different?? if this is a stupid idea..tell me. I think the wheel is a classic in its own right and have always loved it. cheers

	Don't know about splines and all that... But you can make anything fit anything if you want. A local engineering firm could probably turn down the back of the wheel and make a new one up to bolt to it, there are a couple of ways you good do it. Would look cracking too ;D

	i can't remember if the one you've posted has large or small spline, your '91 should be large spline, post '88 IIRC. large spline wheel on small spline column works cos there's an adaptor available from GSF.
