I like this update Thanks dude before blasting and after all painted with new bushes rear uprights This is why i went for a car from warmer climates this time, everything is in much better condition and a lot less rusty than UK cars , for instance taking out the dreaded spindle pin in the rear suspension took a couple of days on my UK car with blow lamps, cutting disc's and a milling machine involved, these took 5 mins and a little tap Gonna start working on the body in the next few months over the winter, still toying with arches again like the white one but then start thinking not, so who knows, Suspension will be either coil-overs or lowering springs, still undecided, need to see what width wheels/offset/tyre combo i can run with the standard arches without hitting them first, There's also been some engine building going on in work in the evenings.....

block bored 1mm over, flat top forged pistons, forged rods, new bearings etc, working on the head bit of opening up the ports and polishing, new springs, cam etc going in, and some machining in work, just playing round with different patterns at the moment, new front disc conversion Cant get the Pug 505 discs i used last time any where now, so had to come up with a new one, after a bit of searching and some machining i now have a nice 24mm vented disc that fits up front

Bit of an update, my new job is getting in the way a bit, and between that and keeping the missus happy progress has been slow of late, I have been cracking on with the welding though, old dodgy floor repair all cut out reasdy for new metal, one big hole.. one new floor pan, still need to tidy up a bit and spot weld the chassis rail on to finish, but need to do some work on the front bit as some one has been jacking the car up on it in the past and dented it, good news that the passenger floor only needs a few little bits sorting, found another repair on the rear arch to, it did always look a bit out of shape though, I did um and ah for a few evenings about just fitting ZG arches to this car like my last Z, it would of been easier to start but I have had a vision of what i wanted this car to look like from the start and i'm gonna stick with it ! I have ordered a shrinker/stretcher because i have always wanted one but never had an excuse to buy one before, but i DO need one for the inner arch repairs, and it works out cheaper than buying some which is nice,

I've been playing with fitting a LSD Subaru diff in the back on my Z this week Datsun R180 3.545 at the bottom , Subaru LSD 4.1 at the top, The Z Stub shafts need a bit of tweaking or i will just make some new ones with Subaru splines and Datsun mountings to fit the Z drive shafts.

plan is to leave the top paint and blend in the rear arches and bottom font wings and leave it a bit used/ratty look, but the underneath will look shinny , should surprise a few people that don't know whats under the bonnet
