A quick trip across Nottingham, phone in hand and sone seriously shonky photos from my phone. I missed the cleanest C reg Nissan Prarie in the world, a couple of neat Beetles of the air cooled type and managed to snap (badly) the following for your delectation... Consul Capri has Superlites on. Beetle was looking nice and low. Incredibly clean Metro House of tat. Here lurks a VW camper and a Mk1 Polo behind that Clio. There used to be a MG Midget here but I think it has either returned to nature or is now behind the camper. Very nice Rover P6 3500S often seen burbling about town. There two haven;t moved in years. Singer and a Mk3 Zephyr hearse. IN use Tidy Datsun of some sort Nother Beetle Token Mini "Custom" Beetle. Mk5 two door with the king of roof racks.

Tidy Datsun of some sort
That'll be a early Nissan Sunny. Has a small but loyal following.
I rather like that 2 door Cortina. I didn't know the UK had 2 door Mk V's.

The "pulse" vent/slot thing in the engine lid is definitely a mod of a certain era. Goes with the chrome modulars though Like it.

What I like is, its not the type of thing an employee of Halfords would drive typically anyhow.

They often have some decent cars parked outside which are obvious employee cars. Aslo the one at Long Eaton has a really tidy modified Nova (not Max Power style tat) and a modiifed Mk1 Escort which appear to be owned by staff.

There's a black hot rod truck (signwritten - think it's a clothing company) in either West Bridgeford or Bingham...I keep seeing it when coming back from Notts to Law's parents' house...

Can't believe the number of times I must have walked/cycled/driven past that Singer and hearse and not noticed them! Just had a thought - had I better check up on the lockup if you have been on the prowl around the old stamping ground?

I vaguely know a guy who does retro / rodder clothing who lives in Bingham. He used to run a sledded Humber and a Mk2 Zephyr with a Buick V6 in it. Its probably him, not seen him in ages.
