I have the same model, 2003 one. I get 37 ish, just tossing around. I've had close to 50 on a run. Cracking motor, done 150,000 miles in it & still drives like new.

Zoe's tds touring is averaging 45mpg, which suprised the hell out of me! Great barges for mile munching. Dishy rims always look good on these!

I work in Rochdale, which is a 60odd mile round trip so this is ideal for me. I used to have a 328i auto which was a thirsty beast and struggled to average more than 27mpg on a long run, but this is averaging 42mpg with mainly motorway driving (quite a bit stuck in traffic on the M60!) plus some more spirited driving inbetween ;D
