so me and mrs coggers thought we'd go to 'sunny' seahouses up in northumberland. a trip out in the firenza and some fish n chips when we got there etc etc ..
so on the way back i passed a delapidated old garage/shop/ex petrol station with a really old petrol pump...
so i pulled onto the 'forecourt' and preceded to take a pic...like you do..
next thing i know , an extremely irate, ruddy cheeked ,farmer's wifey type old bird came rushing out of the adjoining semi to give me a right bo11ocking for daring to photograph her 'out of use 'pump.
now. normally me being the quiet , shy , retiring , 6ft 4 geordie i am,i would have to told her to feck right off and get a life but i thought i'd try the old jedi mind trick on her.the conversation went something like this..
old wifey - WHY ARE YOU TAKING PHTOGRAPHS OF THAT
!!!
me - cos i like petrol pumps !!
old wifey - SO WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THE PHOTOGRAPHS???!!!
me - er, look at them .
old wifey - BUT PEOPLE COME HERE,PHOTOGRAPH MY PUMP ,THEN THE PICTURES END UP ALL OVER THE PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
me - no no no no , i assure you ,i'm just a petrol pump fan. i mean look at my car , you can see i'm into old things !!!
old wifey - oh,that's ok then. anyway we're going to pull it down soon. (? )
then her hubby came out and we stood for about 15 mins having a right good crack about old viva's , firenza's and how they'd never used the pump for 20 years !!
