Bought a 2.0 petrol Transit unseen via someone else as it failed the MOT on rear welding. Had a look at it today and even though it's only got 98k miles, it needs the usual rear chassis welding, along with rear crossmember and floor too. It's in good condition otherwise, but needs the lpg system looked at apparently, although it runs fine on petrol. Has recently had a new clutch, tyres, and exhaust and been used for the last couple of years as a car - so no heavy work!
Looking for offers around £400, only have green slip of V5 at present but should have documents in a week or 2 if you're willing to wait.

Any tax left on it? Pictures of the rot? Whats up with the LPG, is it the original ICOM pump in tank system - has an odd shaped tank with the valve on the end

It's taxed till next Thursday, lpg apparently needs a new filler nozzle but I'm only going off what the guy I bought it off said - no experience of lpg sytems personally. AFAIK it's the original lpg system, but need to move cover to check, will try and get pics at same time - not off work till Thursday unfortunately.

Yeah it's a mk5,it's definitely saveable and looks in pretty good condition body-wise until you look at the rear chassis/crossmember, but a good welder would have it sorted in no time I think.

Most of the grot is on the drivers side from what I can see, the door steps were repaired so seatbelt anchorages on fail sheet are fine now.
