...featuring a VW up! Reasons it's annoying: - it's not retro - the photos are massive- there are only two photos Nevertheless, as this little VW has been doing the rounds this week, I thought it may be of interest. I don't know about you, but I reckon that's pretty awesome.

I am more interested than annoyed That does look nice, they're a good-looking little car as it is and the wheels definitely help. And it's cool seeing a little slice of the Japanese VW scene.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

All of those Ups look pretty fantastic!
Not too keen on the rear wheels/arch combo of the last white one though.

Think it made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon this year, seemed to go down well, it featured in a lot of the reports. Looks full on amazing in my opinion. Edit: I think I'm wrong on both counts, it was the Osaka Auto Messe and it was a totally different pair of cars.

Oddly, that's the only one that's been fixed of the VAG 'wheel moving forward when lowered' syndrome. Because there is so much space between the wheel and the sill, I think it should have the VAG 'wheel moving forward when lowered' (tm) syndrome un-fixed. Just on car though oddly. Wonder what was done different?

Wonder what was done different? I think its because its been photographed with a wide angle lens which is accentuating the gap. It doesnt look that bad really. The one with gren wheels appears to have been 'fixed' to some degree too.

Funny that some others have commented that the Vw Up and the Gt86 are both worthy moderns. I've always stated that I would like one of each. Both cracking designs in their own rights. For me, the Up is the closest thing we now have as a relevant successor to the mk1 Golf. I can see it doing really, really well.
