I quite like this one, and I'm not usually a fan of multispokes:

You realise just how retro they are becoming when you see the base spec ones: Obligatory cop car:

On a positive note I had a wonderfull day car sharing on a track day at the Lotus Test circuit (Hethel) in this 328i coupe. Because it wasn't my car we arranged track day insurance £80 for the day with three drivers listed, myself a good friend Dom and the car owner Euan......... I liked the car nice handling although it rolled a bit in corners Euan took it out solo for the last session of the day and rolled it properly!!! No pics sorry lost on my last hard drive crash!! Full payout no questions asked but a sorry end for the car.

belongs to a friend of mine, some really nice details and hes done it all himself on a budget. I likes it anyway. e36 offers potentially the best parts interchangability of any bmw. I don't really know why, but I'd like to see an e36 coupe on torque thrust D's, skinny fronts and 8.5-10" rears on hoosiers. no spoilers, no m3 bumpers EDIT; PMSL @ BC! racing with the tow-eye permantly fixed on! not suggesting 328i reliability issues are you? ;D

don't buy a bloody compact jobbie. I worked for a BMW dealer back when these came out (about 95-00 i think) Awful, don't handle right, the rear end has had something odd done to it, panhard rod style and sometimes the back just goes all unpedictable on you. But the normal sized coupes are OK as long as not barried up

Doesn't the E36 compact just have a normal E30 rear end?

Doesn't the E36 compact just have a normal E30 rear end? *n nope. but its very similar. compact is 5 stud & wider track, beam and diff are the same curveball- well it is in reality a highly modified e36 compact
