Wow, looks like it should be pretty amazing, engine's a decent way back. Curious to see more of how it had fitted in the fiesta too.

Wow, that's some pile of bits Good work to get that back together and that engine looks right at home in there. Is it the DOHC from the late Escort?

Interesting and deff different Is the inlet manifold custom or a modified original off something else? And whats the crack with the crank sensor as I thought these were like the 8valves with a trigger wheel inside the block? Look forward to seeing more to this ;D

wow guys thanks 4 the intrest , the crank sensor on the pulley is because i run esc ignition and the gap has 2 be as close a poss where as the internal trigger is 10mm away from the sensor so couldnt get signal, the engine itself came from a mk6 escort rs200 4x4, had 2 change the sump 4 rwd fitting from an 8v and pick up pipe, and moved the dipstick tube 2 the rear end of block, its a standard ford bellhousen and bolts straight on the type 9 box even the clucth plate is the rite fitting 4 the splines, had 2 ad 12mm to the clutch fork to bring the release bearing closer, inlet is of a pinto via an adapter plate , reson y the engine sits so far back is because the steering rack is rear mounted and didnt wanna upset the geometry by moving it and for the better weight distribution, ant way a few more pics and the old festa thanks again gav

yes i have a picture of how it was b4 the guy i bort it of stripped her eventually she'l be sitting on gaz coilovers nose down up sorta stance and with a white vinyl roofwith the spit fire wheels banded, engine isnt a duratec, its known as an i4 the original 1 in pixs was from an escort the new 1 is from the ford scorpio or the mk1/2 galaxy, am hopen for a reliable 180 ish bhp considering the power to weight ratio should be around about 250ish per tonne, but it is going to be a real family car,,, honest these seats i found on the dolomite club forum and are like new, stored in a loft for years blah blah blah and are so comfy
