Fair play for the amount of work gone into it, but the end result doesn't really do it for me.
It sits rather awkwardly high and those flares and rear wing look like something off a 70's custom, rather than a performance vehicle.

Impressive work will be interested to see how it looks when finished. From a purely asthetic stance, I'd like to see it on smaller wheels (if the brakes allow) and less ride height. Still I'd imagine it'll be blisteringly quick!

^^^ my thoughts exactly!
Tub out the arches, get it sitting much lower and remove THAT wing!! Or just run mega wide 16s (to fit over GTR brakes), with sticky rubber... That should lower it a fair bit from those massive 18s (?)
The idea is mental, and there is no doubt it's going to be a monster, BUT I still think more thoughts in the way it looks would really add to this project!

disappointed really, when i read it i thought it had the engine put in it and running gear, not its an r32 with a different body put on the top of half a skyline, granted lots of work and skill involved in doing it but i expected something nicer

If its mental its good, Looking properly 70's street machine I'm good with that You're right; Purple metalflake and it would look great! But I concur, a more modern approach height wise (body could have been channeled over the floorpan to maintain geometry & travel) & the current fashion for 'bolt-on' flares would suit it much better.

Top marks for enginuity* However, I think the final outcome falls a long way short of the promise. As Matt said, the wording made it sound awesome but as the images unfold, the reality doesn't quite match up to the expectation. I do actually like it at this stage - but it needs much smaller wheels (14") and massive balloon tyres to pull off the look. Not something that can easily be achieved with those massive brakes. *ingenuity with engines & mechanical stuff...

You have to run at least 17" wheels with GTR brakes, I had them on my old ZX Turbo Bluey and ran 17" TSW Imolas for clearance.

Thread title... First two pictures... Sooo excited... Darn.
Hats off for the engineering skills required; I've never seen such a mechanically minded blind person.

Oh dear GOD!!! Seriously needs smaller old school deep dish wheels, and lower profile, possibly slightly stretched tyres. And for the love of FUDGE get rid of the R34 rear wing!!!
I am strangely attracted to it though........................bit like the Wife!

Smaller wheels wouldn't make any difference, it needs the whole body dropping down over the Skyline floorpan by another 6". If you look at the clearance under the front crossmember it'll never be low enough to look good.

I think I would own the finished product, but only as a racing car. Silly for the street but I imagine on a rally stage/sprint it wouldn't matter as much

This: Reminds me of cars like this: The Holden Torana. I think the Datsun is crying out for a ducktail spoiler, but its not far off being even more amazing than it already is.
