I bought this because it had a private plate on it I wanted. The DVLA have now assigned it's original registration number. I have been using it regularly since I bought it and will be sorry to see it go! It's been a real pleasure to have!
This is an elegance model so is well specced:
-Electric windows x 4
-Electric tilt/slide sunroof
-Remote central locking with alarm.
-Remote locking also closes the roof and windows.
-Electric Mirrors.
-Excellent Sony radio cassette with 10 disc cd changer in the boot.
-Electric Aerial.
-Switchable Auto box.
-Air Conditioning
-"Rest Button" - keeps the heater or air con running when not in the car.
It comes complete with all original books, service history, mercedes tools, warning triangle and even the original first aid kit.
Overall the car is in excellent condition. Bad bits are a few minor scuffs on the bumpers, the front bumper is stonechipped as is the bonnet. There is a dent on the front wing. There is surface rust on the lower front wings and the small part of the rear quarters in between the rear wheel arches and the rear doors. The rest of the body is really excellent. I have not been underneath it but it looks very clean and rust free, and I doubt it has ever been welded.
The interior is also excellent. The seats are hardly showing any signs of wear and all the adjustments work.
It drives really nice - no knocks, shakes or rattles. The gearbox changes up and down smoothly and the kick down works. Starts perfect every time even in the recent freezing weather. It uses no engine oil and has been returning approx 35mpg. All tyres are good including the spare.
Everything works, although I am not sure about the air conditioning.
This would make an exellent cheap dependable family car or the great base for a project. Either way it is a great car. I will be sorry to see it go but I have no use for it.
