I'm sticking up an ad for my M3 in advance,
Its the evo on an S reg (one of the last) in technoviolet with half alcantara half cloth interior, if you share my views then this is definatly the best combination!!
Its got a few awesome bits about it that stood out when I got it - factory head unit still there, origional stickers from new (the best is over the petrol gauge saying 98octane fuel!) It seems to be a really cared for car!
Heated seats work which is a massive bonus! not seen many E36 with heated seats in my time!
I've had it a few months and since I got it I have -
Serviced it (obviously)! for anyone that doesnt know plugs on the evo are hideously expensive, as is the oil! I did opt for a K&N replacement filter instead of standard
HSD coilovers, dualtech set from driftworks. I deliberatly chose this set over the monotube set as it was always destined to be a road car so I wanted comfort as well as performance and these have it spot on!
when fitting the HSDs I polybushed the front wishbones, they weren't bad but thought i'd do it all together! I also replaced the front anti roll bar drop links with genuine BMW parts.
I have the rear trailing arm polybushes and rear anti roll bar drop links ready to go on I just haven't had the chance yet! they don't overly need doing but I got the parts together.
I fitted a lower cross brace from a convertible (ignore the missing bolts in the pic, sorted now!!) this really made a difference to the sharpness of the steering and I was suprised how benificial it actually was!!
there are a couple of downsides to the car, the fuel flap is rusty. although the bodywork is pretty good for a car of its age there are a few poo bits. the inside lip of the bootlid is crusty.
I'm not sure weather to list the mileage as a bad point, its a little shy of 150k. I wouldn't have said it is a bad point as its pretty average for a car of that age (about 10k a year) and it definatly doesnt show the mileage like most!!
If you are as anal as me the gearstick and gator are not standard. Not exactly the worst thing? well when the gearstick had 5 gears yes, it curse word with my ocd!
SO the reason i'm putting the advert up in advance? the MOT is due on the 13th of next month, I want to sell it with a fresh mot for the new owner to enjoy.
also i've picked up som brembo 4 pot front calipers that i'm getting some brackets made up for and want to get them fitted up all ready for the new buyer as well.
for all this, with new mot and brembos fitted I want £4000.
brace is greasy from my hands, photo was from me fitting it!
also the log book hasn't arrived back yet so i'm sending the forms for a new one but should be with me by the beginning of next month!!
