I'll just keep replying to your wanted ads 12 and 14 will both bolt up to the same mounts. The Spitfire ones are cast into the upright and are apparently less suitable because they mess with the the steering geometry. Got the front end chopped off of a Spit on my drive at the moment (cheers Kev ) which will have a load of the bits you'd need, even if the calipers are no good/need a rebuild (just use as a core exchange for refurb ones?). Discs, hubs, calipers- assume they're type 14 etc. I intended to strip it down to chuck in the boot but ran out of time. You can have a bash with the uprights too- they'll physically fit but I don't know what it'll handle like I'll strip it all down and send it to you if you cover the courier. Dolomite calipers are a different fitting, aren't they?
Not that I'm entirely sure where my stash of them is, and I'm not the most rapid when it comes to unearthing stuff - There's always too much stuff in the way of finding the wanted stuff...

I've always understood that the Tyoe 14 and 12 calipers do NOT have the same mounting holes, cos if you want to fit Type 14 calipers on a Spitfire you also have to fit GT6/Vitesse uprights. However, Princess 4pots are the same as Type 12s

That's the bigger type 16s on the six cylinder uprights. 12s were fitted to the four cylinder cars until 14s came along.

I'm breaking my Triumph 1300 currently callipers were in good working order when laid up a year ago. It hasn't moved since but I do have a pair of reseal kits. Callipers on it are type 14s.
