Lewis your shed is fantastic, I love that... absolutely spot on retro-shed IMO.
Will get some pics of my place tonight... most of my curse word is out at my folks barn where the mezzanine is entirely full of Alfa parts....

I wish it were mine, like I said! I just inhabit it The decals are all real as well, from stages the owner competed on! Lots of interesting bits in there too!

This was (and technically still is) mine, at the old house. I've currently got a small single at the new house and have just submitted drawings to the council for a 16 foot by 43 foot garage.... Could just about fit 2 cars in there, although mostly it had a variety of bikes and the Merc 190 in it!

Heres "mine" A council garage... Seen a particularly clean state: I use the little bit of space behind the car for storage of jacks etc and what else lies inside :

Wish i had some tinkering space like you guys.
Our single house garage is occupied by my Bro's beach buggy so i get relegated to the drive or lockup, down the end of the road but it has no power there.

Once i've broken in gained entrance to the garage where i am living at the mo i will bosh some pics up. I've looked through it's back window and it's pretty spacious. Must get that angle grinder out. Anyhoo current work space: Hallway: The veranda when back in hertfordshire: Oh and on the drive, naturally: *looks enviably at the people with a nice garage, esp BC - carpeted work area?! Luxury!*

this is the entrance of the workshop : where the Missus Toyota is normally parked... on the left there are three cars in storage (86 Scirocco, not mine, early 325I E30 convertible, also not mine and the 84 Passat); now this is the look from the end of the workshop : there is space for another two stored cars (The baywindow is not mine, it just pays rent)... i have to clean up ;D the best thing: the lifting platform (?) left from the previous owner, it is 30 years old though, but still working. Last security inspection in 1980 ;D this is a dream of my lifetime; my own workshop. We bought a house together with my parents, so in fact we pay the same money each month as we paid before for renting a house and some lock-ups for all the cars...The first thing we saw from this house was the workshop, and my girlfriend pretends, that the workshop was the reason for buying the house. Which is, of course, not true... i liked the living room, the kitchen ;D ;D ;D

MrJ, i am in AWE of your garage, it looks fantastic! Every time i drove into swansea on my way to uni, i would pass an abandoned garage with a two post lift in it. I made so many clandestine (sp?) plans to get it back home, but i never managaged ahh well Cheers for all the pics guys, its so diverse looking at what people make of the space they have, and what they produce regardless of facilities! J

Well, not having a garage and only space off the road for one car (on which two are currently squeezed ) this 4 x 6 shed was my workspace until early last year. The workbench was about 1' x 2' and once I started needing to use a bench grinder reguarly for polishing work it was a bit cramped! Then last year a new work project enabled me to expand into a nice new "big shed" ;D This is how it is this morning..... Recognise the sander/linisher J? There's still a bit of space to utilise and sort out but whenver I clear it I end up with more stuff to squeeze in. Oh, and here's my "work" work area. Plenty of retro car stuff in sight

When first built, and the only timeit has ever been truely tidy. I've put some shelves up on the wall now too. ANd moved more of my cr@p in there. Thats my mate Phill BTW, sorting out the wiring. Cortina and random yank tank give an idea of the space. Phill again...

That looks like an Oldsmobile hub cap on the side of the shed there. I've got a spare set like that for my car! Mike :-)

MrJ that is a dream of a garage. I used to want to live in a garage like that, mezzanine floor and floating levels with vehicles dotted around in various states of repair. There are some nice garages on here, often size is not indicative of productivity level (okay, that's me then), so hats off to the guys with no garage or on road/drive works space...

It is Olds and I've got the other three too! '57 or 8 I think? Came off a donor car/chassis, the running gear of which is destined for a rod.

Some definite garage/workshop related OOF on show. Good thread. Nice to see none are particularly tidy Rather shamefully, this is mine at it's tidiest: It's literally under the house (about 75% buried) so remarkably stable temperature wise, but not as damp as I expected. But then there's the Automotive Abattior: And the lock-up: (look familiar to anybody? ) Edit: Top of Seth's shed - MG steering wheel?

Fook me you guys have stunning garages/workshops/barns!!! This is my current "garage", 2 parking spaces (and using the neighbours too ;D ) about 50 feet from the house: That's not just a bit of tweaking going on under there either, that's where I built my engine! ;D FINALLY getting a lockup tomorrow and I'm so excited. Just a little council jobby but it's not too far from my house (couple of miles down the road). I have the dilema of which car to put in it though.

of course i love my workshop, too, but in the end it's not the workshop, that brings out the cool cars, it's the people, who have ideas and the skills to make an outstanding car... so that's one reason for me to lurk around here, to get some inspiration and watch you building some very very nice cars and for me it is not only owning and building cars, sometimes the stories/people behind the cars are much more interesting .... ;D
