I was disappointed that this wasn't a thread about a 1 dimensional man buying a car Love the car, as others have said, the fact he makes curse word music isn't really relevant, he's clearly got good taste in cars. Plenty of pop singers don't even like the music they make, in the same way a hell of a lot of other very highly paid people don't actually like what they do, they just do it to enable the rest of their life. Fair enough really in my eyes, it's not like he's hurting or exploiting anyone to make the money either, which is a hell of a lot better than a lot of people with his sort of cash can say. If you don't like his music you can just not listen to it, no harm done. Personally I hope he does mod it, they're lovely looking cars, but they're even more lovely with a bit of altitude adjustment and some new wheels.

Bit harsh. I mean, I can't bear his music or any of the plastic manufactured pap that goes with it, but he's only a kid. He's found a way to make loads of cash by doing something he enjoys and, as a result, loads of girls want to bang him. Fair play to him, I say. Plus One I hope to pick up the good lady's Heat magazine next week to find pictures of Harry Styles steamed up on the back seat of his Capri with Taylor Swift.

Would have been much cooler if he bought an old Vauxhall. Underdog ftw!

On a similar note I'm always a bit surprised you don't tend to see footballers driving retro or classic cars. I mean they can afford anything and often have several so why not have a well restored retro, or supercar. You know, the cars they had on their bedroom walls when they were young, I mean if I had all the money of a PL footballer as well as the Audi/merc/range rover there'd be space for an Intergrale EVO surely??

I think it's just that the ones who are in the media a lot tend to be the ones with the sort of taste that gets you in the tabloids a lot, I.e. chav with cash. There must be a few out there with good taste though, they've probably just got the taste to keep their private lives out of the paper. I'd be interested to see what they've got though, like you say, with the cash they've got they could have some damn nice cars!

That's a clearly not staged* photo of former Reading and Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Marcus Hanhnemann under the bonnet of his modified Porsche 944, taken from this article in FourFourTwo magazine.

I should send him tickets to The Gathering Yes you should. Personally the thought of anyone rich and famous (however deserved you personally think they may be) trawling ebay for old cars makes me feel happy. Good on him.

Well done that lad. An open shirt with a chest wig an a medallion and he'll have the full look!
Seems to have fairly decent taste. Hasn't bought a lime green Bentley or anything that footballerish. Couple of classics as well.
Wonder if he wants to buy my alleycats........

Being a forty-something dad, I obviously have no idea who this lad is but happy to see him spending his cash on a nice, original Capri. Unless I see him with the bonnet up and some dirt under his fingernails though, he still wouldn't pass the daughter's-boyfriend-approval-criteria in force at our house

Like others have said, if you were offered the chance as a teenager to travel the world, make millions and get into the knickers of just about any woman you meet, wouldn't you take it? Who cares what he does for a living, the guy is obviously mad on his cars and wants to amass a decent collection. Good on him.

i already had a lot of respect for the lad simply for the fact that every time i picked up the paper there was a story about him getting 'friendly' with yet another tasty lady (and not always the typical jailbait type either). buying the Capri has earnt him even more respect from me live the dream lad
