Bought this car a couple of weeks ago, but after using it a few times, the wife hates it, so its got to go! I do quite like it but she`s refusing to go in it now!!!
The previous owner had it for over 4 years, but needed a proper 4/5 seater for his growing family! He changed the fabric interior for a nice leather 1 about 2 years ago, the drivers seat has got electric lumbar support etc. but has got a bit of wear on the bolster.
Rest of the interior looks really clean. Theres no radio and the heater only works on number 4! (common problem apparently?)and the sunroof doesnt open,theres also a fault with the central locking but I was just going to disconnect it as theres only 2 doors to open! but everything else works as it should, even the A/C! Headlights pop up and close properly and all lights etc work.
The 2 litre engine is nice and smooth and pulls well in 3rd and 4th to overtake etc. The gearbox is nice aswell, but the clutch pedal is a bit low and takes a bit of getting used to, but it doesn`t slip.
Its got 4 good tyres, the alloys look in ok condition except for where the paint has cracked and flaked off the centre caps, but i`ve got some paint to paint them once the weather takes a turn for the better!
On the previous mot, it states it will need anti-roll bushes replacing for next mot, but these are only about £10! no other advisories.
The bodywork is surprisingly good for a 17 year old car, but theres a few scratches, the worse 1 just behind the sunroof(in pic) but I was going to fit a `dummy` sharkfin aerial to tidy it up!!
The front bumper looks to have been replaced at some point and is a slightly different black. the worst part of the bodywork is the bonnet, its got some crazing in the laquer all over it, but bonnets can be bought for £30 off e-bay!
It will make someone a really good car with a couple of hours sorting the central locking, bonnet, bushes etc, but it drives great and is mot`d til september and taxed til march so can be driven away with no problems!
I`ve probably made it sound worse than it actually is, but i`m just being honest, so someone doesn`t come and expect a minter for £350ono!! I`ll be willing to do a swap with something and maybe put a couple of hundred quid for the right car,(as long its got a bit of tax n mot!) so try me! Located just south of Birmingham, just off j3 m42 and close to M5 aswell.
