Watch this..
And please tell me Charlie Broomfield made a thread on here about it! He's local to me and also seems really laid back about this epic machine!

Man, that's awesome! Love knowing things like this exist out there! I think my favourite part of the car though, is the word 'practical' on the side

Practical Performance Car magazine have regular features/progress reports on it. He sounds like a really clever bloke, apart from the obvious skill in building the car, I believe he was making his own dyno to test the engine on!!!

as if it didn't already have enough power with all that low down torque and over 650bhp...

rev limit was something along the lines of 3000rpm though? And I recall it being mentioned he had to come up with almost every engine mod by himself, as nobody else really tries to mod these monster engines! Lol
Love it, in every way possible

From the Goodwood Festival of Speed back in 2007, when I used to use a film camera... ...I love how much of the engine is behind the windscreen.

Turbos would definitely pep it up a bit, the Meteor was rated at 600bhp-ish, whereas the Merlin engine it was derived from (which was better in some respects as it wasn't put through a cost cutting exercise like the Meteor) was rated at 1500bhp+. However that rating was on Aviation fuel whereas I think the tanks ran straight leaded petrol iirc, though the plane rating will be at altitude.

Anymore power and it would break the time gravity loop system and end up running over a historical character ;D ;D ;D ;D

he is completly mental but an absolute genius, the dyno hes been building to test the engine is made out of a steel frame he made the entire engine mounts on it and the power is measured through some brakes from a coach used for slowing them on hills(cant remember their exact name)
