Honda accord Type R for sale
1999 T-Reg
this has the 2.2 vtec engine (h22a7) which is hand finished in japan, and shipped to england.
It's well worth a look if you're considering buying a performance car (without losing out on practicality)
The increased torque of the 2.2 Accord Type-R gives sufficient pull from 2000rpm onwards, resulting in a very smooth ride. Power climbs nicely up to 5,500 rpm, then the high speed cams cut-in with the VTEC. From here on the engine goes wild until the rev-limiter intervenes at 7900rpm.
212ps (209bhp) @ 7200rpm
221Nm @ 6700rpm
Helical LSD - standard
0-60 is about 7.0 seconds
twin-piston brakes - standard
dual exhaust system - standard
17-inch alloy wheels - standard
Xenon headlights - factory upgrade
Recaro seats - standard
leather-trimmed Momo steering wheel - standard
air con - factory option
type R mat set - factory option
bad points:
steering wheel slightly worn.
a small hole right in the corner of the rear passenger seat, hardly noticable
makes a creak noise sometimes when pulling away, not all the time, I am told it needs a new ball joint or upper suspension mount??
there is abit of laquer peel to the front bumper
various scuffs around the car, none serious though, wheels have some curbing, but nothing major.
mileage is on a 134k. car will be sold with 6 months tax (runs out at the end of this month). MOT expires 28th February.

although I still manage to get over 30mpg from this, the reason I'm selling is because id like something cheeper to run, but still fast- if that is atall possable? I fancy a change, maybe something rwd? I could be interested in a swap, try me.
